§ 01 Introduction
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Bellman DSGE (the “Service”), a research-grade workbench for dynamic stochastic general equilibrium models, operated by QuantiFit, a sole-proprietor business based in Seychelles (“we,” “us,” “QuantiFit”).
By creating an account, subscribing, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
§ 02 Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. Institutional accounts (central banks, research departments, universities) require a valid institutional affiliation at the time of subscription.
§ 03 Licence
Subject to your compliance with these Terms and payment of applicable subscription fees, QuantiFit grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use Bellman DSGE for research, teaching, policy, and forecasting purposes during your subscription term.
The licence is for the number of seats included in your subscription tier. Sharing credentials beyond that seat count is a material breach.
§ 04 Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the solver
- Redistribute the binary, the calibration libraries, or the export templates
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, including sanctions evasion or market manipulation
- Misrepresent Bellman DSGE outputs as official central-bank forecasts unless explicitly authorised by your institution
- Attempt to disrupt the Service or access accounts other than your own
§ 05 Intellectual property
Our IP. All software, algorithms, validated solver implementations, methodology documents, calibration libraries, and export templates remain the property of QuantiFit. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of QuantiFit IP to you.
Your IP. You retain ownership of: (a) data you upload, (b) calibrations you create, (c) vintages you save, and (d) outputs derived from your specific runs. You may publish these outputs in academic or institutional work under standard academic citation practice. We ask that papers, reports, and presentations using Bellman DSGE cite the Service.
§ 06 Subscriptions, payment, and Merchant of Record
All subscriptions are sold and processed by Paddle.com Market Limited (“Paddle”), acting as our authorised reseller and Merchant of Record. Your contract for the purchase of the subscription is with Paddle. Paddle's terms supplement these Terms in respect of billing, taxation, and chargebacks.
Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current period.
§ 07 Refunds
See our Refund Policy. In summary: a 14-day money-back guarantee applies to new subscriptions; thereafter refunds are at our discretion and processed by Paddle.
§ 08 Service availability
We target high availability for the marketing site and the subscription-management portal. Bellman DSGE itself is a native macOS application that runs on your machine — once installed, its availability does not depend on our servers.
Planned maintenance windows will be communicated in advance where reasonably possible.
§ 09 Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. DSGE forecasts and impulse responses are model-based and subject to model risk, specification risk, and parameter uncertainty. You are responsible for the appropriateness of any model output to your specific policy, research, or commercial use.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, QuantiFit disclaims all implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
§ 10 Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, QuantiFit's total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the total fees you paid to Paddle for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
In no event will QuantiFit be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunity, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
§ 11 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless QuantiFit from any claim, loss, or liability arising from: (a) your misuse of the Service, (b) your violation of these Terms, or (c) your misrepresentation of model outputs as official forecasts of an institution that has not authorised such use.
§ 12 Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you materially breach these Terms. You may cancel your subscription at any time through Paddle or by emailing us.
Upon termination, your licence to use the Service ends, but your retained data (vintages, calibrations) remains yours and is available for export for a reasonable wind-down period of at least 30 days.
§ 13 Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated at least 30 days before they take effect, by email to the address on your subscription and on this page. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
§ 14 Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Seychelles, without regard to its conflict-of-laws provisions. Subject to mandatory consumer protection rights in your jurisdiction, all disputes arising from or relating to these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Seychelles.
§ 15 Severability and entire agreement
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, and any subscription agreement entered through Paddle, constitute the entire agreement between you and QuantiFit relating to the Service.
